On 25–26 August 2025, we held a seminar on protecting health after disasters in Mabi, Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture. We walked around Mabi and heard directly from residents as we considered what communities need to protect everyday life and health during and after a disaster. We also discussed how people can prepare and support one another.
We thank Ms. Kataoka and everyone at the Soru Visiting Nursing Station who supported this field exercise, the local residents, and everyone who helped with the seminar.
